Barili Exploration – Sayaw Beach

Sayaw Beach

I ate lunch a bit late than the usual. So, I pampered myself with irresistible foods; pizza, beer, steak and had beer. I do not drink beer but I did try. I wanted to feel how real adults eat but after three sips, I regretted, I ordered it. Still, I achieved to order like a real adult. I enjoyed every bit of it as I devour with a big appetite.

Pizza, steak, and soda!

I ate hastily and was not able to notice the beauty of the restaurant. The place looks peaceful and exquisitely rustic. The waitresses were friendly. I did not realize until I finished my meal. I was too filling my stomach.

I then decided to move to my next destination, Sayaw beach! “Sayaw” is a Cebuano language which means “dance”, It was named because the beach’s waves seem to be dancing from afar. I myself could justify to that especially when it’s summertime. The beach was just along the hi-way. Last year around March, I passed by and was mesmerized by the beauty of water’s color saturation with moderate waves and fresh cool air.

Who would not fall in – love with this beauty? Entrance fee of 20 PHP (40 yen). You can rent cottages for 150-200 PHP (300-400 yen). It is not really much and I think it’s a good bargain. I planned not to swim but to visit the rock formation. I had been reading about rock formation for the past few days prior to my south tour but sad to say, I could not do the adventure. The fishermen who can transport us weren’t available. In order to go there, riding a boat is a must. I felt really sad. I looked forward to visit the rock formation and yet I could not. I decided to wait but they advised me not to since, It was getting late and if it is past three o’clock, the waves would get a bit stronger. So, I opted to look for a place to spend my night.

There are lots of beautiful tourist spots, Barili of Cebu could offer But I have only visited three. Next time, if I have more time I’d explore more even if it means; I’ll have to climb mountains, chase waterfalls, trek for hours. I really would!
