The common question when arriving to a new place especially when you arrive by an airplane is “how to travel from the airport to main city? This is one of the elementary information that a person should have especially when traveling.
Here are the options on how to transfer from airport to city;
The Package
- If you already booked a travel package, including; airplane, hotel and more. Worry no more, traveling from airport to your hotel is already part of it. It’s somehow expensive but they’ll make everything easy and convenient for you. Can accommodate up to 4 people.

Yellow Taxis
- The yellow taxi is the airport’s taxi. Amount ranges from 400-500 PHP depending on the traffic. They can be found on the left side area of the airport. Can accommodate up to 4 people. It’s safer than the regular taxis.

White Taxis
- The white taxi is the city’s taxi. Amount ranges 190 – 250 PHP depending on the traffic. They can be found on the right side area of the airport.

Vans
- Mini Van – from the name itself, it means small vans. Amount ranges 600 – 350 PHP. It can accommodate up to 6 averaged-sized people
- Vans – The rate for this is usually fixed, 1000 – 1300 PHP. Can accommodate up to 12 people.

Cebu myBus
- It’s from airport to SM-city. It usually leaves every 20 minutes. fare 25 PHP. Though it has pit stops but it doesn’t take that long. The number of seats are not enough but if you are in a hurry, standing is not really bad.

- If you find it difficult to find the taxi area at the airport, please ask the airport security or information area for help. They’ll gladly assist you.
- The most common used is the White Taxi. It’s not always a hundred percent safe. You can get and write down the plate number of the vehicle, so when something happens you can report it to the policemen.
- The white taxi usually asks for extra payment by not using meter and giving you an overpriced amount,you can refuse and be firm on using only the taxi’s meter.
- Taxi can only accommodate four people and they have trunk for luggage.
- Minivans and Vans accommodate of people sometimes depends on the luggage, they usually don’t have trunks for the luggage.
- Late night and early morning usually before 5 am, White taxis usually ask for more, since they usually don’t have customers on those hours. I recommend yellow taxi because it’s safer and they must only use meter.
- I highly recommend Mybus, it is cost-effective and it leaves every 25 minutes for 25 php. They also have pit stops before going straight to SM-city mall.
