Camotes Islands is a group of islands in the Camotes Sea, Philippines.

The island group is located east of Cebu Island, southwest of Leyte Island, and north of Bohol Island.

It is 34 nautical miles (63 km; 39 mi) from Cebu City and is part of Cebu. Sometimes known as the “Lost Horizon of the South”.

I know you have heard of this wonderful place and you’re here because you wanted to know on, ‘how to make it in Camotes’.

Let me share my experiences. Take note, experiences. I had been there not once nor twice but 5 times. Imagine 5 times but to tell you that was not a lot of money I spent as what you are maybe thinking, you can go there in an affordable style and that frequency means I am truly a big-fan of the relaxing place . In my guide blog, I’ll be talking about a simple plan for 3 days and 2 nights stay in Camotes.

 

Day 1

Ride a habal-habal going to the place where you planned to stay. 100 php. Check your chosen place and relax.

I had been here many times and I stayed in different places. From thrifty – luxurious stay. During our thrifty stays,

we chose simple rooms in San francisco. For my luxurious stay, we went Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort.

Explore the place. Enjoy the beautiful water and feel the powder-like sand.

Day 2

The tour day. You can rent a habal-habal, multicab or van.

A. Habal- habal : 250-500 Php.

B. Multicab : 1200 – 2000 Php.

C. Van:  2000 – 3000 Php.

Depends on how you negotiate them. Be kind for sure you’ll get a good discount.

Day 03

Relax and Enjoy the Beautiful beach near you and play with the locals.  Prepare to go home.

 

Travel Tips;

• Book ahead where you plan to stay. That always depends on your budget. You can also search it here through our site.

• The earlier you start your day, the more things you could do.

• If you choose the economy class for the ferry boat, the earlier you ride the lesser hot you feel.

• The moment you arrived the port, plan and book a ticket going back to Cebu.

• You can stay in Santiago Bay Beach and set up a tent.

• Santiago Bay Beach’s STK has the most reasonable prices for food

• Every trip you make using habal-habal, usually costs 100 Php.

• For the tours, the kinder you are the more you can negotiate for a discount.

• Each place where you plan to visit has entrance fees.

• They offer water activities, such as; kayaking, boating, banana boat and etc.

• Each water activity you plan to do has a fee.

• Bring Extra money.
