Kawasan Waterfalls After Canyoneering

When you ask the Cebuanos, what the most famous watefalls in Cebu is. Everybody would probably answer, “ Kawasan Waterfalls in Badian. It has always been one of the tourists’ favorite destinations. I have always fancied visiting this place alone. I had been here for a lot of times but this time is special. Since, I had just finished my canyoneering adventure. I entranced at the third waterfalls. The third waterfalls is believed to be the “source”, when Filipinos say’s it’s the source it is said to be; where the water came from and also people it’s the cleanest and for us the farthest.

The water is as blue as you could imagine, that you would love to swim over and over again without stopping even if it would kill you through hypothermia because of its coldness.

From here you could really see, the water flowing like a shots of Jacuzzi. I would love to dip here all afternoon and act like a fairy. Since I am really small, I could fit myself inside one of their sources.

You could rent from here but since we are in a hurry we have to hurry down. So, we walked past the level-3-cottages, going down to the second waterfalls. The second waterfalls looked so mesmerizing that I want to swim right away even I had seen it even before.

Going down seem a bit more difficult than I had expected. Maybe my body had been exhausted from all the swimming, jumping and trekking. I could feel the trembling knees an tired arms, that I would rather squat all day while listening to the beautiful sound of the water and watch the two beautiful waterfalls while eating lots of salad, that sounds healthy, don’t you think so?

Since, going down seemed a bit harder than the usual. I had to endure a bit more because the team decided to stay in the level-1- waterfalls. So, we walked past the level-2-cottages which have improved through the years. They look a bit formal now but I’m a bit saddened with the changes. Looking back through the years, I could remember how natural they looked. Without those proper ways, would make those days more natural and would looked more adventurous but I know this one is better for the love of tourists. Maybe, unpaved ways for me would make the ambiance more natural. Since the way going down is already paved, not really paved like the city but at least you could really find your way back unlike before. We walked for about 5-10 minutes judging by the energy we had, I won’t complain.

I could smell different kinds of food while going down, making me starve. I bet they are selling foods now. Then we went down to Level-1-waterfalls.
